Rae is lively and very brave cat. We have come to be a tourist site more than once when Rae has decided to come with me and the dogs for a walk, or come out from her transport box to walk in the terminal. Rae is such a trainer's dream cat - she eats anywhere, and isn't too nervous of new places. On the judge's desk table, she tends to play, purr, or lie down to be petted.

However, Rae can be quite a rascal, and is very accurate with her litter boxes - in the event of a change or when the litter is too dirty, we may find unpleasant surprises from many other places than where they should be. Sometimes sleeping hours may be cut short in the night when Rae wants some attention. She might come and ram herself against the sleepers face, bite the neck or arm, and nibble where she pleases. She’s such a carebear - it's hard to find a more cuddly cat, and the reason is clear when you look at Rae's father, who is really affectionate.

In training situations, Rae is lively and eager, and strangers don't bother her. Mostly she's fine with dogs too, but if strange dogs get too friendly, she may lift her hair up and hiss. Rae is lousy in defending herself, at least with familiar dogs, even when they are too violent with their enthusiasm in playing. But she has a temperament and shows her anger clearly.

Rae is very close to my dreams, and what I hope people would see, in cats: the potential to be more than just an easy-to-care pet that will never be included in anything. Be more than just a cat.
